While the Avenger is sheer male beauty on the outside, Chrysler spoils the design of the Avenger with the use of low quality hard plastic that does not even last long. However, the Cooler provided is something to look out for. The performance is not up to the mark, and the run is full of rough patches.
The Dodge Avenger comes in three trims -- SXT sedan, R/T sedan and the SE sedan. The price changes according to the trims. But, the SE sedan, the cheapest of the three has been discontinued.
In 2009, the R/T sedan came with a 3.5L V6 engine with a power of 235hp at about $25,415 (MSRP) and the SXT sedan came with a 2.4L L4 engine with power 173 HP at about $21,500 (MSRP). The discontinued SE sedan with the same engine as the SXT came at about $20,515 (MSRP).
Now the prices have changed with the 2010 Dodge Avenger sedan, a 5-passenger, 4-door family sedan that comes in two trims rather than the previous three.
The 2010 Dodge Avenger sedan comes at the price range of $21,170 - $22,450. The 2010 Avenger R/T sedan now comes with the same engine as the SXT, 2.4L L4 with a power of 173 HP. It costs more than the SXT at $22,450 (MSRP), while the SXT sedan comes at an MSRP of $21,170.
You might get better values and discounts at various websites dealing in car sales or car dealers.
On the whole, whether you want to purchase a 2009 Dodge Avenger or a 2010 Dodge Avenger, the price range would be $20,515 to $25,415.
