While the exterior of Dodge Caliber is aggressive and ruggedly handsome, its interiors are spacious. The only hitch in the interiors is the use of cheap materials. The interior boasts of sports seats with huge arm-rests, the material of which only renders it more uncomfortable. So, the exterior of the car is definitely better than the interior, which is more utilitarian than design-oriented.
Coming to the performance of the Dodge Caliber, is it more similar to the interiors of the car, more utilitarian than for excitement. The engine used in a Dodge Caliber is a Turbocharged 2.4-liter engine that can develop 285 horsepower in the SRT4 trim. The other three trims of the Dodge Caliber are not for the thrill of driving, but rather for good use as they provide large space to fit three children or at the most two adults in the back seat along with good fuel efficiency.
The main hitch in the Caliber’s performance is the said-285 horsepower engine that does not seem to have actually transformed to ground while driving, which leads to the drive seeming rough and bumpy, especially at a higher speed. The car certainly seems top-heavy and not as good as the beautiful Neon ACR belonging to the same company.
When it comes to reliability and safety, Dodge Caliber is still underwhelming.
While it offers a three-year/36,000-mile warranty, the 2009 Dodge Caliber does not perform well in the insurance industry for side impact tests.
On the whole, the Dodge Caliber is cheap, fuel efficient with lots of space.
