This is the first Dodge Magnum car that uses the innovative Chrysler LX platform, joint with Chrysler 300, and also shared with the Dodge Charger. The LX platform line was brought together at Brampton Assembly Plant located close to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Though Dodge Magnum wagons have made their popularity from the moment the first car was introduced, there are still inaccuracies in the manufacturing process. Sad to say, the makers of these wagons make errors during the production of the car. But luckily, these makers also make up for their mistakes. Dodge Magnum recalls were done in order to report the problem discovered, the date of announcement, the manner in which the car will be affected and the probable solution to the problem.
The most recent Dodge Magnum recall was announced in November 2008. Chrysler LLC is the one responsible for the recall. The company found out that the cable on the gearshift may be separated from the steering line mounting bracket which could lead to the erroneous transmission gearshift position display. The consequence will be on the involuntary movement of the vehicle resulting to an accident.
The 20,283 Dodge Magnum manufactured between 2006 and 2009 were recalled, and these cars will now undergo a process by which the dealers will affix a security device on the cable of the gearshift at the mounting bracket just to make sure that the gearshift will function properly. The Dodge Magnum recalls began in November 10, 2008, and are still ongoing.
