Who Invented The Dodge Viper ?

From the time of the original Mustang, the Dodge Viper is considered as the next biggest thing in the automotive world. Although the sales of the Dodge Viper are not equal to that of the well-known ponycar, the enthusiasts of the Viper just keep on drooling on all the models of the car, which has a minimal straightforward design and muscular styling.

The Viper show car, which was first tested in 1989, is the modern embodiment of the AC Cobra. Many people requested Chrysler to produce a version of the Viper that would be suited for the streets. Thereafter, the Viper model was put up for public sale in January 1992, and soon it became the sweetheart of the automotive fanatics and press, including the stars like Kelsey Grammer and Jay Leno. With the attractiveness of the Viper to the automotive enthusiasts, the Viper even had a TV show which was dismal, and it only lasted for one season. The sensation made by Viper has revived the company that almost everybody thought would never make it through the decade.

In the beginning, the Viper was only available in red, But later on, different colors such as green, black, white, silver, blue and yellow were made available. In the middle of 1996, the GTS Coupe was introduced by Dodge. This is a 8.0L, V10 engine. As compared to the previous RT/10, its motor is lighter by 85 pounds. And, the interior is made up of less expensive plastics and the seats are not adjustable.

Regardless of the weaknesses present in a Dodge Viper, this Dodge model is of a handsome character. This is the reason why the Chrysler Corporation has challenged its rival, the Corvette. Cost wise, the Viper is one of the contenders for the top spot in America among all the sports cars. The Dodge Viper is considered to be cheaper than all other sports cars available in the US.
